It began with Oscar, one much-loved cat and a story written through heartbreak. Today, Molly’s stories help children feel seen, celebrate their imaginations and support charities around the world.

It started with Grief

In 2014, my cat Oscar went missing on a ferry.

I wrote his story to process the loss. Then something unexpected happened.

Kids didn't just love the story. They started telling me their stories. About scary things. Confusing things. Big feelings they didn't have words for yet.

I realized: kids tell you who they are through what they create, not what they say.

After 20 years of working with children across Kenya, Italy, Germany, the US and London—teaching in primary schools, writing 18 books and watching thousands of children communicate through colour and creativity—I made it my mission to create stories that help children feel seen, understood and proud of what makes them different.
BEYOND THE BOOKS

Twenty years of listening

I’ve kept the drawings. Heard the questions adults sometimes miss. Watched a child explain an enormous feeling through one tiny scribble.

I get it because I’ve spent more than 20 years listening to children — in classrooms, libraries, hospitals and communities around the world.

I’m here for the forty-seven dragons, the wonderfully chaotic paintings and the stories that make no sense to us but perfect sense to them.

Because every creation says something. And every child deserves to feel heard.
GIVING BACK

Every Story Gives
Something Back

Giving back has been part of my stories from the beginning.

Across 18 books, I’ve supported 18 charities—each one chosen to reflect the heart behind the story.

From children’s hospitals and hospices to heart charities and environmental causes, every book is an opportunity to turn imagination into something that makes a real difference.
