A house without books is like a room without windows… just as a child’s imagination shouldn’t be stifled but allowed to run wild and free. My reading and writing workshops enable creativity to bubble…
Starting with an interactive story reading, accompanied by props and shortbread cat biscuits (to feed the imagination) This is followed by a Q and A session about reading and writing life with prizes for the most engaged pupils. With cowrie shells, roses, cats and Scottish hats it will be the ULTIMATE fun experience!!
Should you opt for it this can then be followed by teaching activities based on the stories, which will tie in with the English curriculum, with a bit of drama thrown in too. Having been a teacher for seven years I ensure that these workshops are child focussed and full of fun activities and engagement that the children will enjoy!
I had really thought that no-one would come to my Wandsworth Library session on Saturday and so I arrived without half of my story workshop kit and was amazed to find so many children waiting and what a fun filled session it was. I had so much fun sharing stories in Tunbridge Wells. What a fun-filled fantastic week sharing stories in Dumfries, I just loved every second! It was so much fun launching Simon the Sloth at Harvey and Woodd Gallery. Thank you, Naomi Bell, for organizing a wonderful time sharing stories at Rannoch School. What a wonderful time sharing stories in Roehampton Library. It was a very short trip, but I enjoyed it so much! QSI Brindisi Thank you, QSI Brindisi. What a fun time in Carrdus. It was so lovely to be back with lots more of the Oscar family! A magical time being back at Hill House. I am lucky that I get to visit lots of Schools for my book readings but coming back to Hill House is always my happiest!
