Daliburgh School- 4th March 2021

Thank you, Daliburgh School, for letting me share my stories with you! I loved sharing stories with children who actually know what peat is! The children really engaged well with the stories and I even learnt a word or two of Gaelic!

EISP- 5th March 2021

It was so nice to return back to Italy, albeit through a computer screen. Thank you EISP () for letting me share my stories. The children engaged wonderfully with the books and so it was so nice to be reading directly to a classroom again!

I have never been one of those people who rushes around all the time- appearing very busy but never having time to do anything. I have always, as a result, felt slightly inadequate as I have time to read a book, time to bake a cake, time to grow flowers and time to do the washing up. Read More →

Banana moon nursery

What a wonderful morning at Banana moon nursery. The children were all so welcoming and after sitting having a snack of our shortbread biscuits and getting to know each other we very quickly settled into our book reading corner and read about Oscar’s adventures. Read More →

10th January 2020- Waterstones, Kings road

It is always rather daunting setting up shop somewhere as high profile as Waterstones, Kings Road to an audience composed purely of oneself.

Fortunately, though, it was not long until Oscar worked his charm and a small group of children quickly built up, to listen to Oscar and Angus’s adventures, adventures that were to be continued long into the night with kind Grannies- the best of readers;  they could give me a run for my money!

8th January 2020- Wimbledon library

What a wonderful time at the Wimbledon library. It was the biggest turn out for a book reading that I have ever had! Full of lots of eager young faces, fresh after their first few days back at School to listen to stories about Oscar and Angus, eat shortbread biscuits and think about kind things we can all do for others in 2020.

Floating bookshop – 1st September

The floating bookshop really was the most wonderful venue to do a reading. This incredible venue is the most unique bookshop in London that I know! An oasis of peace and calm right next to Kings Cross station!

So much to explore both inside and outside and run by the warmest people, it was an absolute joy from start to finish.

Following a very generous introduction I sat on the roof and read my stories to an appreciative audience up and down the canal.

Luckily the sun shone and Oscar and me had one of the nicest days.
