What a treat to be back reading in Schools again! I loved visiting Benjamin Franklin International School (not to be confused with JFK – turns out Benjamin Franlkin was an academic rather than a president!)
The School was so friendly and they have the most amazing library. The children were wonderfully engaged and we had such a fun time soaring like a cormorant, tapping like a segull and rapping like a spider! Some fantastic questions were asked and there were lots of budding writers too. It turns out that George Orwell’s injuries sustained in the Spanish civil war were repaired in the art room of the School!
It was quite a marathon of readings but each and every one was unique, special and lots of fun.
Thank you BFIS for being so welcoming to me- I hope that you’ll have lots more book readings in the months ahead!
